The triumphant Cork hurlers, along with the Liam McCarthy Cup, will be heading back home later this afternoon by train from Dublin to Cork.
The special train will take the new All-Ireland hurling champions from Dublin at 4.10pm and will stop in Mallow at approximately 6.00pm before it is due to arrive in Cork at 7.30pm.
The team will then travel by open top bus from the station to a public reception outside the Imperial Hotel. The reception platform is located at the South Mall/Parnell Place Junction and it is planned that the team will arrive at approximately 8.15pm.
Meanwhile full-forward Brian Corcoran has played down rumours that he is ready to retire from hurling and insisted that he won't make any decision for at least four months.
"A lot of the Cork lads are now going back into action with their clubs. I have a four-month lay-off and I'm going to enjoy myself. After that, I will then decide on the future," he revealed.
"Even if things hadn't turned out the way they have, I would never have regretted my decision to come back because I was involved with a fantastic bunch of guys and a really great managerial team."
"There is a fantastic feeling attached to winning an All-Ireland, whether it's your first, second or third. It is also an incredible disappointment to lose one and I think that the setback of last year is what stood to this Cork team on this occasion," Corcoran added.
