AUSSIE RULES star Setanta Ó hÁilpín was introduced for the last five minutes as Na Piarsaigh recorded a runaway 1-16 to 0-7 win over Sarsfields in the quarter-final of the Cork senior hurling championship quarter-final at Páirc Uí Rinn last night.

But it was his younger brother Aisaki who turned on the style at corner-forward, finishing with a personal tally of nine points.

At Fermoy, All-Ireland club champions Newtownshandrum had just four points to spare over a Cork IT side that shot 19 wides over the hour.

The O'Sullivan family inspired Cloyne to a 1-14 to 0-11 win over St Finbarr's in a hot-tempered quarter-final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Saturday. Diarmuid O'Sullivan scored their goal at the second attempt after his initial effort from a penalty was stopped by the 'Barrs netminder Fergal O'Mahony, while his brothers Donal, Eoin, Colm and Padraig all impressed.

Blackrock and Glen Rovers must meet again after they drew at Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Saturday.

A brace of points from ace free-taker John Anderson earned the Glen a second bite of the cherry.
