NEWTOWN 4-14 DONERAILE 2-7

Newtown Captured their first North Cork U-21 championship since 2000 when they had too much firepower for a game Doneraile side in Charleville last Saturday.

With James Bowles giving a master class display at Full Forward, helping himself to at totol of 2-10 this tie was always only going to have one winner. Senior players Gerdie O'Mahony and Cathal Naughton were also prominent throughout.

Doneraile to their credit fough a good battle but the difference in calss was for all to see and newtown now go forward to meet Blarley next Saturday in the Quarter-final of the County and will fancy their chance of extending their run in this competition.
